InterTek was founded in 1997 by Etienne Farrugia and Patrick Genovese. Etienne brought expertise in IT hardware and networking, while Patrick specialised in software development and implementation.
Although both founders were very young, their experience and vision helped them break into the networking, software, and technical support solutions market, overcoming the high barriers to entry, especially within the Maltese market.
